Update: Lower Fees, New Features

After a couple of months development, omaps.io is finally here! The feedback we've received so far has been overwhelmingly positive and the demand for a platform like omaps.io seems to be high. However as we are committed to being the #1 marketplace for orienteering maps, there is always room for improvement. Here are the most notable changes and updates that we've implemented after officially launching the project:

1. Lower & Simplified Fees

Our platform fee is now 0.30€ + 12% which includes the payment processing fee (previously 15% platform fee and 0.25€ + 1.4% payment processing fee). You can read more about our fees from this guide.

2. Blog - Articles, Guides, Updates

We've added a blog on our website where we will post guides, articles and update changelogs. Check it out: https://omaps.io/blog

3. Progressive Pricing

We've added a new feature called progressive pricing. This feature automatically adjusts the price of the map when a customer purchases 5+ copies, giving them up to 20% discount. This feature is enabled by default, but sellers can disable it on the settings page. 

4. Digital Delivery: PDF Downloads

Maps purchased with digital delivery are now downloaded as PDF files instead of image files to make sure the scale and layout are correct.

5. Custom Payout Schedule

We have added an option for sellers to change their payout schedule from monthly to quarterly from the settings page. Doing so will save you some money because less payouts mean less payout fees.

6. Upload Limit Lifted

Sellers can now upload up to 5 files per map (previously 1 or 2). Sellers can use this feature to upload courses with forking, or include a map to the starting point for example.
