We're thrilled to unveil omaps.io 2.0 - the biggest update in our history. We've revamped the design, streamlined the buying and selling experience, and laid the groundwork for more improvements coming later this year. Here's a tour of what's changed.

A fresh look, in your language

Every page has been redesigned: a cleaner, faster interface that responds well to different screen sizes. The site is available in English and Finnish, and more languages are on the way.

Find your next control

  • New map view. Browse on a full-screen map with a live list of every map in view, sorted by distance.
  • Shop without leaving the explorer. Open any map right from the list - a truly seamless shopping experience.
  • See what's in your cart. Maps already in your cart are marked as you browse, so you always know where you stand.
  • Featured destinations. Curated collections - pick a city or region and see every purchasable map in the area, from all sellers at once.
  • "You might also like". Find hidden gems from the suggestions shown next to every map.

Smoother buying

  • New checkout. The new embedded checkout keeps everything on omaps.io - as secure as before, just faster and cleaner. Save your card for even faster checkouts.
  • Smarter details. More flexible collection of billing and shipping details, prefilled from your previous orders.
  • Delivery that suits you. Compare prices and delivery estimates for every available delivery method, right in the new checkout view.

Personal accounts

  • Shops are now separate from accounts, so you can manage multiple shops from a single personal account - multiple shops, one login.
  • Build your team straight from the seller dashboard. No more sharing an email and password when several people need access - every member gets their own login with exactly the permissions they need.
  • Secure your account by activating two-step verification (2FA).

Fair pricing - there's no catch

We simplified our pricing for sellers: a flat 10% per order. The old fixed per-order fee is gone, and there is no payout fee anymore. Sales land on your balance within minutes of payment, and you choose how often you're paid out: weekly, monthly or quarterly.

Faster, more flexible map uploads

  • Uploading a map has been streamlined to need fewer clicks than before.
  • Multi-page PDF files are supported - perfect for forked or multi-part courses.
  • Three scale options per map instead of two.
  • Attach extra files to a map, such as a bulletin or a map to start.
  • Import courses and distances straight from an IOF XML file.
  • Map scale and paper size are detected automatically in many cases.

Keep everything in order

  • Create categories to organize the maps on your shop page - especially useful if you have a lot of maps from different areas.
  • Categories can contain automatic rules, so new maps sort themselves with no manual work.

Embed your shop

  • The new embed widget puts a simplified version of your shop on your own website - no coding experience required.

Know your customers

  • A real customer list with order history - view it in the dashboard or export it as CSV.

Reports and VAT

  • Accountant-ready reporting: sales, product, payout and VAT reports as CSV downloads.
  • VAT support: set your rate, prices are displayed VAT-inclusive, and VAT is itemized on every receipt and report.

Notifications, fully customizable

  • Email notifications are now fully customizable - chooses exactly which ones you want to receive. From new orders to messages, comments and payouts.
  • New weekly and monthly sales reports: opt in to a summary of your shop's sales delivered to your inbox on whichever schedule suits you.

Smarter watermarks

For digital downloads, a personalized watermark is placed automatically in the emptiest corner of the map, out of the way of your course.

Seamless transition

Our goal has been to make the transition as smooth as possible for both buyers and sellers alike. All features should work like before, and no action is required on your part.
